The Framing Of Aaron Brady: Ireland’s ‘Appalling Vista’

The Gardai have some form when it comes to framing innocent Irish people but the cover-up of Adrian Donohoe’s death is in a league of its own.

As an investigative journalist writing about the nefarious activities of the private corporation An Garda Síochána for more than 20 years, nothing shocks me about the depths to which they stoop to frame innocent Irish people to cover up their own crimes.

Fr Niall Molloy, Mary Boyle, Sophie Du Plantier, Raonaid Murray, Maurice McCabe, Terenure College to name a mere handful.

But the stitching up of Aaron Brady for the 2013 murder of Garda Adrian Donohoe in Dundalk is in a league of its own. Without as much as a grain of evidence, they set about framing this young father from Silverbridge, South Armagh using a gang of lying criminals and a story with more holes in it than a colander of Swiss cheese.

This was done to protect another gang of drug-dealing criminals - the real killers - who are in bed with the Gardai and are run by them. Naturally, the vile mainstream media - namely Ali Bracken, Robin Schiller (emphasis on the shill), Ian Doyle, Stephen Breen, Paul Reynolds and Nicola Tallant - rowed in behind committing the most outrageous defamation against Aaron and promoting the twisted Garda narrative at every turn.

Only for his incredibly courageous father Tony Brady, none of us would be any the wiser as to how they did this. Diligently, systematically and persistently, he has exposed the fabricated mountain of lies the Gardai and State Prosecutor Brendan Grehan have told about Aaron as they protect the real killers of Adrian Donohoe.

Aaron’s appeal is coming up on October 3rd - next Monday in the Criminal Courts Of Justice in Dublin. He is currently serving life in Portlaoise Prison despite the complete absence of evidence against him.

Aaron was in another location and jurisdiction at the time of the murder on the night of Friday, January 25th, 2013. He was laundering diesel in South Armagh, about 20 minutes away from Lordship Credit Union in Dundalk, Co Louth, where the killing took place. He voluntarily went to the Gardai to tell them this but they ignored it.

They also airbrushed out of the investigation a car heading for Dublin - identical to the one described by witnesses to the murder - that was seen driving the WRONG WAY around a major roundabout close to the crime scene, a few minutes after Donohoe was shot in the face.

Several years later, they set about bribing and blackmailing illegal Irish in America to fabricate stories about Aaron after he had moved there to begin a new life away from Garda persecution.

The shameful trial of 2020 was held almost in secret during Covid lockdown. Coached and coerced witnesses were allowed to give testimony by video link to the Dublin court from their kitchens in New York. They did not even have to face the accused in person.

One of them, Molly Staunton from Woodlawn, New York, couldn’t get the words out in front of the jury and was interrupted by a man who was in the room with her and told her to ‘tell them what you’re supposed to f****** tell them’ before slamming down her computer. Aaron should have been acquitted after this particular fiasco. But Judge Michael White proceeded with the farcical trial.

Those who testified against Aaron were gifted with residential status in the US, the dropping of criminal charges and other benefits. Those who refused were sent home. That is just the tip of the iceberg of the corruption involved.

This is the ‘appalling vista’ referred to by Lord Denning when he rejected an appeal by the Birmingham Six against West Midlands Police in 1980 because to uphold the case would be to admit that police had lied about their confessions and beaten them up in custody. The men were subsequently exonerated and freed, along with the Guildford Four.

Most Irish people, knowing the levels of corruption in the Gardai and what they are capable of, would have no problem believing they have framed an innocent man. The problem is they do not know the facts of this case.
