In Africa, taxi's are combi mini-vans whose drivers have no conception of safety. Those mobile juke-boxes are usually overloaded, unroadworthy, too fast etc. The horn is blown constantly. Squabbles about route allocation often result in gun-fights. One taxi driver got his combi mini-van stuck at the bend of the footbridge ramp over the freeway. A "refugee" motorbike delivery driver crashed into me by overtaking ON THE LEFT like they do back in the Congo when I was pulling over into a parking bay. They can hardly read the traffic signs.
