Fine Gael Judge Tony O’Connor Tries To Gag Journalist Gemma O’Doherty While Assassinating Her Character

He turns a blind eye to Jimmy Guerin’s perjury, fraud and extortion in ‘his’ court but wants to silence Gemma when she defends herself against these crimes

The most insidious weapon of a lying narcissist is projection: accuse the other side of that which they are guilty. Today, in the Clown Courts of Ireland, Fingal Councillor Jimmy Guerin (‘victim of the year’) deployed this very strategy once again as part of his five-year campaign of stalking, harassment and perjury against investigative journalist Gemma O’Doherty because she revealed the State’s role in his sister Veronica’s murder. He is a bosom buddy of Garda management and found €10 million in his shed, as you do.

After endangering Gemma’s life for five years, accusing her of the most twisted lies and trying to extort money from her, Councillor Guerin had the audacity to suggest it is he who is being put in danger because Gemma has the temerity to defend herself from the scurrilous and outlandish claims he and his barrister make about her every time they step into court.

The most nauseating aspect of all of this is that ‘Judge’ Tony O’Connor folds like a cheap suit every time in the face of Guerin’s bullyboy barrister Ronan Lupton. Today, he permitted the lying lawyer to claim that Gemma O’Doherty is somehow connected to an alleged threat of violence against Jimmy Guerin. This is defamation of a criminal nature and a disgusting new low even for the notorious slanderer Ronan Lupton.

If Tony O’Connor possessed even a grain of concern for natural justice and due process, he would have stopped Guerin and Lupton in their tracks and ordered them to stop making these contemptuous and baseless claims about Gemma. Instead, he attempted to gag her from talking about it and defending her good name. Their audacity is breathtaking. This is what having no media does to the courts. They can do and say whatever they want. How do these creatures sleep at night?

It seems that anyone can go into the court of Tony O’Connor, rip a person’s character to shreds, but when they try to defend themselves, he threatens to jail them. The Soviet politburo would be proud.

Judge Tony O’Connor knows well that Gemma O’Doherty abhors violence of any kind and has spent her professional career as a journalist trying to tackle the culture of violence in our country, especially against children and women.  He also knows that she has a long track record protecting young people from sexual assault, the type committed by Mr Guerin’s brother Martin, a notorious paedophile whose crimes she has written extensively about and how he has been protected by the same courts in which she is now being falsely accused.

His deluded brother Jimmy has wrongly claimed for four years that she was writing about him when the world and its mother, including Judge Tony O’Connor, knows it was Martin she was writing about on the day he walked from court in 2019 despite being found in possession of more than 1,000 images of child sexual abuse including babies as young as two.

Any other judge with an ounce of self-respect would have thrown this vexatious case out on Day 1 but O’Connor has willingly accepted his role as executioner-in-chief in the character assassination of Gemma O’Doherty. All he is doing is making a martyr of her and a fool of himself.

He has brought huge disgrace upon himself yet again today by allowing these false claims to be read into the record of the court so they could be published in the poisonous media. If he thinks she is going to sit quietly by and take the stream of abuse and insults against her vomiting out of his corrupt court, he needs to cop himself on. But cop-on isn’t something that O’Connor seems to have acquired along the way.

The story of Guerin’s alleged death threat is dubious to say the least and has all the hallmarks of a stunt pulled out of Drew Harris’s favourite bedtime reading: ‘False Flags And How To Stage Them’. Jimmy must have borrowed it from him for the weekend. He claims ‘a man’ followed him to his 22D Jag and said his life would be shortened if he continued his case against Gemma O’Doherty. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. You can be sure the Gardai are in on this latest scam if it happened at all. It’s more than likely a figment of Jimmy’s very creative imagination.

This latest desperate charade is designed to insinuate that Gemma arranged for someone to physically threaten Jimmy Guerin (give us strength, Lord) when in fact it is he who is the real stalker, sending his legal thugs to her private family home to try to frighten her on behalf of his higher-ups who are clearly funding the operation to try to shut down The Irish Light.

Since Guerin’s campaign of harassment against Gemma has been exposed, all it has done is bring hundreds of new subscribers and supporters to the paper and revealed the absolute dystopian state of the Irish courts and their beholden judiciary who are trying to kill what is left of press freedom. Won’t be happening.

Tony O’Connor is not only in contempt of court for threatening to silence an investigative journalist, he is in breach of the Constitution, the Separation of Powers, his Oath of Office and numerous European Conventions defending and protecting press freedom from the scourge of political and judicial interference.

The desperate efforts of his kangaroo court to try to silence a journalist will go down as one of the darkest chapters in Irish legal history, along with the framing of Ian Bailey, Brian McMahon and Aaron Brady. O’Connor seems determined to destroy his own reputation and is becoming a household name in Ireland for presiding over this shambles of a case which the whole country sees through at this stage.

Once again, the Clown Courts of Ireland have proven themselves worthy of the title. As we speak, Government Internet Tsar (GIT) Ronan Lupton is gathering up his toys and preparing to throw them out of his pram yet again, running in tears down the quays to cry into Daddy O’Connor’s lap because he has been caught with his pants on fire once again.  

Lupton likes to boast on Twitter about his trips to Mass. He must have been missing from Catechism the day they were teaching that calumny is a mortal sin. Back to The Ten Commandments, Ronan. One day, you will face the real Judge Whom you sneered at in court while telling lies to a jury about Gemma. Remember that? Not one of your finer moments.

When will you grow up and actually get a life? Don’t trip on your black gown as you run back to court to try to have Gemma jailed again. You really are the biggest court clown of all.
